Community Involvement

“The archetype of the Wild Woman carries los bultos, all the bundles for healing and meaning. She carries all the medicines of stories, words and songs, all the mending tools of dances, signs and symbols. She is both vehicle and destination. She is the essence of the female soul. No matter how many times she is cut back, or called unsafe, dangerous, useless or mad, she rises through the psyche regardless” – Clarissa Pinkola Estes

A portion of the proceeds of Pretious Coaching & Wellness is donated to projects supported by the Precious Women Project.

In 2010 a vision came to me of women from my homeland in Southern Africa and my new home in Canada connected, inspired and empowered, sharing stories, wisdom, song, dance, drumming and diverse healing modalities. The Precious Women Project emerged, serving women and children from diverse backgrounds.

Zindi’s Journey: Finding Gem, a children’s book with a message for parents and teachers was birthed in 2013, to support the Precious Women Project, and found her voice in libraries in rural areas in South Africa through Zingela UlwaziSeeds of Light, The Star Lion Education Initiative, and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo through Children Watoto, as well as LIB International supporting after-school programs in underprivileged communities in Delhi.

In Canada, Jenn has been honoured to drum with the Khast’an Drummers in Prince George, BC on Lheidli T’enneh traditional territory, at multiple events supporting different groups,  including a walk along the Highway of Tears, honouring many murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls.

Jenn is in discussions to support the Permaculture Explorers and Sekwanele projects in South Africa promoting women’s independence in unique and empowering ways. Sekwanele offers protection strategies for unrelenting violence against women and girls in rural South Africa.

Transformative Power of Arts, Storytelling, Yoga, Meditation & Breathing Techniques
Studies have shown that participation in the arts, storytelling, meditation, yoga and ancient breathing techniques, improves health, mental well-being, cognitive functioning, creative ability and academic performance and contributes to overall happiness.

In a world where the rational and logical rule , we have lost sight of and starved ourselves of the creative feminine. The price we’ve paid is evident everywhere.. Men too, have paid a price for not integrating and feeding the feminine…for not being whole. We all have. The arts, meditation, yoga and breathing techniques are ways to feed the Divine Feminine …to satiate her appetite.
